De Beers - Synthdetect 2

Fifth Wall was commissioned by WildPigs to create CG sequences for De Beers’ groundbreaking diamond verification instrument, SynthDetect™ 2.

SynthDetect™ 2 screens loose diamonds and mounted jewellery, helping establish whether stones are natural or laboratory-grown. Working closely with De Beers’ design team, we transformed raw prototype CAD data into polished sequences that showcased the equipment in action.

The project evolved alongside the product itself: as the design team refined the instrument, we incorporated updates on the fly. Initial editorial content was delivered for trade shows followed by further developments for the main launch.

Together, WildPigs and Fifth Wall developed the creative direction for hero shots and product demonstrations, while producing motion graphics in collaboration with De Beers.
